I have to be honest, quiet time is not my favorite thing in the world. But coming to ALR has helped me to see how important it is, and I'm learning to appreciate spending time with God. I know he loves me and I'm understanding more and more how to hear his voice.

My dad came with me to ALR and he and I took some walks together. That helped a lot. I really enjoy watching for eagles and sealions and walking through the woods -- and you know what? God is just as much in those things as he is in a church service or bible study. He's in everything, and I'm learning that I can enjoy his presence anywhere I am.

But I have to say, there is something special about ALR. I'll be back.
