Spring is a wonderful time to get away and spend some time with God. At ALR, our spring retreat, which will be held April 20 - 22 this year, is always well attended. You'll enjoy the beautiful setting of Fort Flagler this time of year -- the trees are blooming, the daffodils are out, and there's new life everywhere. After a long, cold, winter, it's great to be able to spend a weekend in a beautiful setting, listening to God's voice and enjoying some quiet time before the business of summer begins.

It's hard to believe that it was 25 years ago that Steve and Sharon Schell talked with my wife Druci and me about doing a "silent" retreat out at Fort Flager. We certainly had no intention at the time of making it a twice-yearly event for the next 25 years of our lives!
